Going Through Everything I Own - EXTREME MINIMALISM

Going through literally everything that I own as an extreme minimalist. And sorting out all my stuff next to each other, to see how much I really have and to go through it all at once. I had to move and so I packed everything. This was a good opportunity to reflect on it all again, and also especially because it's all sitting together instead of it being scattered around. This is all that is left after my extreme decluttering and after pursuing extreme minimalism for a couple of years.

This was also my experience when we recently moved. I wanted to be an extreme minimalist and my husband likes our things. We packed and moved everything, and lived our last month at our old home with almost nothing - basically my dream. And I missed my stuff. I was so happy when we finally unpacked at our new place.

Hi Anja! Very true, sometimes having too little can sometimes make life harder. Sometimes I feel like throwing away almost everything but I know I would need most of it...

Hi Anja, you make a very interesting point that there is point at which you are living with too little for you to feel comfortable. The great thing about minimalism is that, that point is different for everyone. I think you showed this really well. 🙂

Nice video!! You raised some good points.

I have a family so my house is not as minimal as I would prefer. Still we have moved a lot and can fit everything we own in a truck and car. As a family we own 11 pieces of furniture total (no dressers, side tables, coffee table, couch, end tables, etc). We keep our tech to 1 laptop and our phones. My clothing all fits in 1 suitcase. Where we have more "stuff" are hobbies, books & I am good with.

I‘m traveling for months now and it made me realize that I need some things. I miss my furniture. I miss my well equipped kitchen and homecooked food. I miss having more than 5 tshirts and 1 pair of jeans. I miss my plants. I feel like I have just the right amount of things back home now, except for maybe a few things I don‘t miss.

Wow, how strange that there is no floor. I am in the U.S. and unfortunately here in rentals they have a fetish for putting carpet in places. It’s terrible. I would rather have no floor and just put down what I want.

I don’t know how you can create without supplies? My art supplies are my favorite things, when I cant create, i expire.

Very interesting. 👏 Well done! Thanks for sharing!

I am living out of a backpack right now and I can't wait to call myself an "extreme minimalist" - I am not there yet. (in my opinion) But I am working on it! 💪

If you feel like this in the meantime you can decorate empty places with small natural objecs like branches from brich and pinecone, stones... this will change the mood. For those few kitchenware I wouldn`t buy a dishwasher. Just try to clean after use immedeatly this is no effort and takes less time than using a dishwasher ;-). Stay safe and blessings

Cool! Not much stuff when you move. I wish I had that amount, but no. I'm still attached to more nostalgia things I really should get rid of. Why is it so difficult? I mean, they are just there, not doing anything special. I don't even look at them very often. Really silly. :) :D
