Driving Test During Covid 19 the DVSA have been conducting driving test throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic for key workers. Here we look at how the driving test during Covid 19 may have changed the driving test forever.
We will look at driving test during Covid 19 official information for example early driving test terminations and unaccompanied driving tests.
Also, information we have deemed from the experience of accompanying candidates to the Driving Test Centre (DTC) and anecdotally from other driving instructors.
With driving test during Covid 19 for all driving test candidates soon to be reinstated these 12 changes to the driving test could soon apply to everyone.

These are the driving test changes up to this point.
1. The Driving Test appointment will be longer than usual.
2. The driving test will only be conducted at a Driving Test Centre where there are hand washing facilities’
3. The Driving Test Examiner will wash their hands and put on a fresh pair of gloves prior to entering the waiting room.
4. The Driving Test Examiner will read the Insurance declaration aloud.
5. The candidate will place the Provisional Driving License on the table for inspection.
6. The Diving Test Examiner will not touch the license.
7. The candidate is not allowed to be accompanied on the driving test.
8. The Driving Test Examiner will have opened his/her window throughout the driving test.
9. The Driving Test Examiner may request the candidate also opens their window.
10. If the candidate makes a serious or dangerous driving fault the examiner will terminate the driving test immediately
11. If the candidate displays any Covid 19 type symptoms the driving test will be immediately terminated
12. The driving instructor will not be allowed to listen to the driving test debrief.
