My husband and I started our first real garden in 2020. We actually tried in 2019 but it failed SO miserably that it didn't even count. We had a lot of success, a lot of zucchini :-), probably a thousand tomatillos, only one tiny watermelon, loads upon loads of volunteer delicata (from our compost!), and the list goes on. Of course there were a ton of problems that we simply didn't know how to deal with due to our lack of experience. That said, with all the successes and all the failures, we had a fantastic time doing it and can't wait to get back to it this spring. I'm SO happy to have found your YouTube channel! You've already helped answer many of my questions. I can't wait to watch and learn more. Our biggest issues at the moment are water (how much is too much/too little), how much and when to fertilize with which nutrients, how/when/if to prune, how much sun is too much, too hot, and so on. We are in California Zone 9a (The Sierra Foothills). Thanks again for your amazing guides. You are a great teacher, clear, informative, and fun to listen to.

I've been around a garden since I was little but have learn so much this past year and was my second time having a garden in my yard. In the past I've shared my moms and my husband grandparents would help them. However since ethe pandemic we had distance ourselves and help them so I grew it here. So this year am going try do my own seeds. So wish me luck.

Started seriously in 2020 with gardening and vermicomposting. Got lots of worm castings waiting for putting them in the ground. Sunny, hot and humid in Summers in East Texas, with bad soil. So we have raised beds (barrels and cow troughs) with own mixed soil and added nutrients. Had good success with peppers, but Tomatos and cucumbers not so much. Biggest success: Potato harvest in 6 5-Gallon buckets! Cloth bags leached too mich water and the yield was not very successful. Shopping bags filled with earth did very well with salads, arugula, mesclun and other leafy salads. But none of them formed a head. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Just dipped a toe into the pool of gardening in 2020. Wife bought 1 tomato plant and a few different peppers. Output was so so but enough give me the itch to try more.

I started gardening Nov. 2020 with 2 - 4x8 raised beds and a bunch of cool weather transplants from a local nursery. I now have seed starts going for the upcoming warm weather season. My only issue so far has been trying to grow potatoes. My chits (store bought russet) were planted 12/22 and still no sign of life. Any suggestions?

Finally able to seriously garden after separating from the USAF and not continually moving. I’ve been watching various channels heavily since October! Started last summer and really looking forward to expanding my raised beds later next month when the soil is more workable. SW Ohio, 6a

Officially started gardening back in 2017 as a way to get my mind off the Radiation therapy routine due to my Cancer at the time. (Been Cancer free now since Christmas 2018) then we moved into my Mother in Law's house so due to the move I had to put the gardening on hold until last year. I decided for my Birthday (in February) to buy myself a Greenhouse and finally motivated my husband to help me set up the garden out back like his Dad had years ago. My Spring/Summer haul from the garden did Fantastic, my Fall garden... not so much. But that's ok, I have managed so far to keep one of my Green pepper plants alive waiting to replant it for Spring 2021. I've also started planning out my 2021 garden and where I want everything to go. Might even try a few new plants this year as well as our family favorites.

I’m a second year Gardner with my first time trying to grow all my plants from seeds. I’m excited so let’s go...
Since the fall I doubled the number of raised beds, made and started to fill compost bins, have my grow lights up and working with my overwinter peppers. I also grew lettuce under the lights to eat this winter.

I love your new video intro! Congrats!! 🥳 Ive been an ornamental gardener for about 30 yrs, and aside from putting store bought tomatoes and peppersinto the ground, Id never grown a garden. I decided to start a small garden during and because of the 2020 pandemic. Accidentally started over 100 tomatoes 😂 and found your content because of them! I gave some away but grew 96 successfully! 🥳 Thank you for all your help and encouragement!

Im excited about this new schedule! Are you able to ship the hooks to Canada? What is the min order? My last frost date is May 21, so no rush!!

Hope you, Emily, Noah and Boomer have an awesome weekend!! 🌷
