How much do Intelligence Operatives get paid?
This is a British Army role like no other. You’re more akin to an MI6 Agent than a soldier. You’ll both gather and analyze critical information to help make top level decisions. You’re reports can go straight to Politicians or Generals resulting in major military operations.
However, it’s not all just desk work, you may patrol with the infantry to learn first hand about a country, group or area of interest, using the information gathered to some of the most powerful people in Britain.
All you need to get started are GCSEs in Maths, English and 3 other subjects and be between the ages of 18 and 36.
Your training will begin like many others, 14 weeks at Pirbright learning the basics like weapon handling and fieldcraft. During this phase you’ll be on an effective salary of £18,687 a year.
Phase 2 training will then last 15 weeks and will take place at the Joint Intelligence Training Group near Bedford. It’s here you’ll attain the analytical, intelligence gathering and briefing skills necessary to prepare you for this vital role.
You’ll then be fast tracked into the Junior Command and Leadership course taking two weeks resulting into you graduating as a Lance Corporal on £30,769 a year.
You will then immediately be put to work whether thats being deployed to a foreign country for intelligence gathering or in an integral government department. With more experience you’ll be promoted to Corporal on £35,718 a year and then to Sergeant on £40,058.
