Why Does McDonald's Diet Coke Taste So Good?

As a Diet Coke lover, I've always wondered why McDonald's Diet Coke seems to taste better than everyone else's. My previous theory was that they put actual sugar in it. BUT, now someone has actually researched the reasons and has some (sort of) scientific proof as to why Mc D's DC tastes so good!

umm Dasani is also a Coca Cola product that's sourced from municipal water sources.

i work at mcdonalds, the only syrups thats stored in a tank is the original coca cola syrups, the others are in plastic bags in cardboard boxes, also no, they CO2 tanks are not submerged in ice water. the filtration system however is probably true.

The main reason is that McDonald's has a contract with Coca Cola to have their drinks specifically mixed, Coca Cola reps maintain the fountains and insure a proper mixture. I don't know any other restaurants that pay the money to have that done.
