On my watch list for real. I’ve probably already watched everything else with him presenting

If you ever heard a song mixed in true dolby atmos everything else feels kind of bland really. However, the problem is we don't produce for techies, we produce for the average listener. I don't see a future where people have a Atmos hifi system at home. Hell, how many people do you know which have a simple 5.1 system and even listen to music over that? Binaural over headphones is ok but there will be no replacement for the good old stereo at home. The art to mix for stereo won't die any time soon for sure.

it will undoubtedly change the way we understand music, but, for the producers and engineers that we are leading the way, it will be a little more complex, to be able to make these mixes we need thousands and thousands of dollars in high-end monitors and excellent acoustics (not to say perfect), however, i think this is the future of music and we have to get involved in this kind of evolution at some point :)

I love the idea of having a four voice synthesizer with each of it's voices panned hard left, right, centre front and back; and then having all those voices spiral around you constantly or perhaps shifting with the beat or sections of the music 🎶 a handful of elements mixed like that would be immersive and mind blowing 😅!

What do you guys have in mind for DJs & background music playback? I don’t see any gear that can output atmos in xlr and we’ll do all the processing with our live mixer PA set up… all the atmos gear is overpriced because it has components we don’t need, like EQ, amps, analyzers and processing that we already have at our venues…

Are there any published songs mixed on Dolby atmos?

Music in stereo sound will have an phantom image in center as well we can appreciate widely spaced trebles if tuned properly in a room. Why do we need more speakers and energy in a room and finally we end up spending more in treatment to control those unwanted echoes.

This is why I dont envy engineers. Those who can't afford this will be out if the game in no time

Sorry, but this is just a better stereo with good localisation. Whatever you do and name. Such a marketing peace. The industry played too much with technologies and forgot what everything was all about. Nice picture, nice sounds, for what?
