How to service a Trasko Bypass oil filter on a VW Jetta Tdi

I recently put a Australian Jackmaster Classic on the Pontiac Torrent. I didnt need it . I had a Motor Guard on it.Had to check it out. Its an amazing filter.. Got it on Ebay. You need a wrench to remove the lid and long nosed pliers to pull out the TP. To put in the new roll you push in the roll until it makes contact with the 2 inch core seal in the botttom. Then put on the lid. I notice the new Great Value 1000 that I get from Walmart now has a larger core and smaller diameter roll. I normally unroll about 30 rounds of paper . It was the right diameter. The bigger core was handled by the 2 inch core seal. The Jackmaster Classic filter element is covered with a fabric that looks like panty hose material. It has a ring that pulls the element out by the fabric.Frantz users are putting spacers on the tube.. Jackmaster has no tube. They use the TP core as the center tube. They are the only filter as easy to change as the Gulf Coast junior. I could only see using the Trasco if there was no place under the hood. I saw tbat many times.

What happened with the lab testing comparison? Did the a
Trasko outperform your previous filter? You mentioned you'd do a comparison when the Trasko completed around 10k.

Working on an install for a 2012 Jetta Sportwagen install for a bypass micron filter. Since I do not have a normal filter change and cannon adapt a Trasko to it, do you have a resource for an install to a Jetta TDI engine for accessing the oil?

Excellent video! I hope you are using the filter as a true bypass system, and not as a replacement for the normal spin on filter.

Bought one of those filters many years ago nice filter but not.practical. the element is too small. You have eliminated the full flow system this is dangerous unless your engine is immaculate and has no large particles in the oil mine was a stilco
