What i noticed in the 3 years that ive been fishing, i have caught way more carp with cheap super market tinned sweetcorn than the nonsense tackle shop bait, boilies, coloured pop ups etc.

Amazing to watch....and to see maybe proof that the 2 to 3 foot of line from the hookbait needs to be flat on the lake how to do it with/without a backlead?

My thoughts are that rig is two heavy and is not matching the weight of the smaller baits that it’s freely feeding on. The carp feed with suck and blow and it’s got used to a certain power of sucking on the small free nuts and carries on with that level of suction thinking all food will Hoover up until it hits the bigger rig and it feels the weight difference and blows it out. If I was using big stacked rigs like that I’d use much bigger boilies as freebies to few the carp so they are using a much bigger suction power to suck up baits.
