I recommend divine rivals (book 1) and ruthless vows (book 2). They are great books and don’t have too much fantasy so it’s a good way to get your feet wet. It’s an easy read. Not heavy on world building like some fantasies. There is a good romance and I loved these books

i feel like you would like tress and the emerald sea or yumi & the painter !! both by brandson sanderson & they have the sweetest, most wholesome romances which he wrote in for his wife !!

A fantasy that's not too heavy on the romance and really clean (closed door smut) is Throne of Glass by SJM! Personally, I love it more than A Court of Thorns and Roses, but the books are thicker and the series is longer. Also, I recommend A Lesson Before Dying! So so so good but heartbreaking ❤️

You NEED to read the Crowns of Nyaxia series!!! (Serpent and the Wings of Night)

It’s nice because it’s basically a duology with a little novella in between. So good

I just finished reading The Night Circus….best book I have ever read! It’s a great fantasy magic mystery romance lol I can’t even tell you how much I loved it!!

I loved The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy! A wonderful and easy romantacy. I also loved A River Enchanted. It’s by the author of Divine Rivals, which I love. However, I think I like this book even more!

My favorite book is Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas. I've only gotten back into reading over the last 9 months or so, and I'm already on my third read of that book. It's YA but it is also a queer, trans, mlm latinx novel by an author who is also all of those things. Fair warning, it excels best in the character and worldbuilding, so if heavy forshadowing that makes figuring out the big bad of the story is not your thing, maybe not for you? But technically, it's a YA paranormal fantasy romance, so hence the suggestion :)

If you’re trying to get into fantasy I would highly, HIGHLY suggest Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson! It’s a standalone (no commitment lol), cute romance and the plot is fast paced! I absolutely could not put it down and I think about this book all the time :)

I'm reading cursebreaker series, it's a trilogy and in my opinion a brilliant romantisy. 1st book is a beauty and the beast retelling and I absolutely was obsessed. I'm on the 3rd book and I reccomend!
