I find it to be super easy with the channel locks if they have a long handle. Just make sure the bar is lined up in all the spots it needs to be in and then twist the bar with a really good grip on the pliers and gently put the bar in its final place

Just did this, make sure to pay attention how the tool goes. Took me 10 mins to do this. Great job on the video!!

I didn't even know that I have these torsion bars in the trunk of my Accord. As always, very entertaining and educational. Thanks!

Perfect fit; I had to watch the video a couple of times to figure out which way to twist the bars; thanks

Thanks for a great video! I ordered the tension bars from my local Honda Dealer. The tool was purchased from an online Honda dealer who had to order from Honda for the part. Thanks for saving me dealership labor cost. (They were going to charge me $100 just to look at the problem. I did tell them about your video.)

Great video, if you guys don't have the tool you can use you hands and a little elbow grease. The hardest part is getting in and out of the trunk

Thanks for the video. I was able to do it just using the adjustable wrench.

Just did mine I found a pry bar helps better than a pair of pliers, I had more leverage and snapped them in place easily

Thanks for the vid. Helped me replace the trunk torsion bars in my 2003 TL. Managed to get one side with large channel lock pliers and the other with large vice grips. Was definitely easier to put them on by climbing in the trunk, though I got the non-broken one off without doing so. Wear gloves and safety glasses.

Good advice, backing the rod off the higher tension setting. We put ours in that slot and it promptly snapped next time we closed the trunk.
