2017 Honda Accord Trunk Opening Fix

I hated the way my trunk opened on my new 2017 Honda Accord and couldn't find a quick easy fix or even a kit to install. So I bought a cheap 12" bungee cord from Ace, trimmed it down to about 8", used an already existing hole in the trunk arm and pulled out 1 trunk liner grommet for hook locations. It's not pretty, but it works!

Not sure if you are aware there's a weight bolted to the trunk lid which keeps it from opening up all of the way. Just remove the trunk lid liner and you'll see it.
