We never new how good we had it under blair and brown but their legacy was blighted by Iraq. At least they were good public servants trying to push the country forward. That must be why I, who grew up the youngest of 8 by a widowed (when I was 6), mentally broken mother on benefits, who stuck out like a sore thumb in school with my hand-me-down clothes, only eating at school, second hand Christmas presents (better than nothing), trouble with police and drugs growing up poor, relate to Boris Johnson so much. He grew up poor and I grew up poor. How did Nadine Dorries ever get into politics let alone become the Culture Secretary?
