Nice review. It would be good the mention the other varients as they are sometimes better value. E.g. my pick is the base model because it has a few features that are better than the higher specs. It has a 30L larger boot, it has wireless Apple CarPlay, it has the more comfortable suspension and the better fuel economy. Two things it lacks is a boot cover (can be added) and a rear armrest that can't be added without replacing two thirds of the back seat. Still my pick though.

I wonder how reliable the torque converter is over time

One day one of these review channels will review the base model instead of the high end.

The traffic sign recognition system is an absolute deal breaker for me, that thing would drive me nuts

I was looking at one of these, or a Stonic, but that beeping issue wouldn't be an issue if it stayed off, but having to turn it off every single time you start the car? That's a massive turn off, same with the fuel economy. Shame, it seemed like a solid car, and for the price the issues shouldn't be what they are

For practicality to live with, which would you buy with your own money? 2Lt or 1.6Lth turbo???

That beeping begins the moment the speed limit is exceeded by just one kilometre. Also, the option to turn it off is buried deep in the menus. It was bad enough to be a dealbreaker for me ☹

Tape over the camera to stop the beeping

Can you give a review for Kia Seltos Sport 2023?

Pity they couldn't fit the sorrento hybrid engine into this. It would be a winner.

Make video on top variant of kia seltos.

Too bad you can’t actually buy one. There are zero discounts and you have to wait 8 months. The prices are also very high. The speed detection system is also an own goal. It makes the Skoda Octavia wagon look like a bargain.

Varient distribution is better in indian spec. In total around 25 models

I have a low mileage Sr5 04 hilux that i was thinking of trading up to a Seltos but that beeping and poor fuel economy ended those thoughts.

Skoda Karoq is more practical. Similar size however boot measures over 500L and also has removable rear seats for even more room.

Claimed 7L/100km but tested nearly 10L/100km??? If that was combined testing and not just urban, that is appalling for a car that size.

Check Indian spec Kia seltos that is more features loaded

well people want power and from a small displacement 4cyl the TURBO has to make more BOOST and when you add those two together ? the answer is more fuel consumption. that said the inclusion of a 8-speed torque converter over the awful junk that is DCT makes the added fuel consumption so much more accepting.

The other issue is the nanny intrusions, clearly KIA have been spooked by some stupid law suit somewhere in other countries probably the land of law sits the USA so it has inflicted every car they make with those stupid nanny crap, shame it is buried somewhere in the sub menus and not a physical button that can be easily switch off, it should not be up to KIA to determine how you drive the vehicle, that said I wonder what the courts would say if you have an incident as you were occupied by having to do stupid sub menus operations and BAM accident because you were focused on other thing than driving.

Just a thought KIA.
