An HD extract of the perfect concert Russian Circles & Chelsea Wolfe did 2 days ago in Paris (France) at the beautiful venue of Le Divan du Monde (sadly you won't see it in this video).

The encore tracks you can enjoy here are "Memorial", title track of the fifth LP to be released by Russian Circles the 29th of October and "Youngblood" (► 6:15) an old one from their 2006's Station LP, the second album of the Chicagoans. The new LP was available at the merch, and some websites stream it already but if you didn't heard it yet : BRACE YOURSELF ! yes, it's another masterpiece heading to new musical horizons with titles like Memorial being really more post-rock quiet and some tracks being less drum structured than before, if that means anything :) it's all in the contrast between the songs and the build up of the layers, and hey you still have all of the super-powerful-good-energizing tracks as a reminder of Russian Circles technical greatness !

For the camera fact : I'm filming at the max lumineous opening F 1.4 of a 85mm mounted on a Nikon D800, so yes, the depth of field is a tought devil to grasp and fyi noise is kind of heavy due to a lot of concert smog to set the moody ambiance. I was doing the focusing myself, fully manual so yes It may be awkward at some moment as I wasn't even able to see well the focus point on the tiny lcd screen of the back of my dslr. Pretty happy with the results, for a recording from the very first row, i'm a bit too far for Mike sullivan's guitar but hey, just stuck in front of the bass amplifiers the sound render not taht badly their good live music !
