Next video: Sausage VS AMD Wraith Prism at High / Low RPM

I’ve NEVER noticed this and I not only have quite a few of them, they’re my go to for heat sinks whenever I am building anything that needs heat dissipation because I have so many of them.

It's the best stock cooker ever in existence

A lot of these people don’t understand what’s going on here so I’ll just explain.

When the motherboard calls for 100% the fan will spin at (idk call it) 1200 rpm with the switch on H and 800 on L(I’m pulling number it of my ass it doesn’t really matter)

And when the motherboard is calling for 50% speed, the fan spins at 600 h and 400 L

Supposedly this is to make the cooling less aggressive and quieter for CPU’s that dont need it. But still remain fully capable for hotter builds.

For those wondering, High at 100% = 3700rpm. Low at 100% = 2800rpm.

This short alone made millions of Wraith Prism owners check their CPU cooler once more xD

Great little cooler that even fairly competes with much larger after-market coolers. Only drawback is noise level, and that with this switch on low. Can't imagine the noise at 100% speed with this switch on high.

For the people who don't quite understand, low limits the fan to about 3000 RPM and high let's it run up to about 4000 RPM. It's a lot louder for not much more performance.

The one stock cooler i kept because its actually pretty damn good for stock. Not too many come stock with heat pipes or as big of a heat sink. This does both while having RGB as well. So cool. And there is even software to control everything so you dont have to go to BIOS just to adjust fan curve.

doesnt it regulate automatically depending on how hot the cpu is?

If the cpu cooler runs fast, it will cool faster when you overclock the cpu!!! The switch is there to toggle between slow & fast modes!!! Nice cool feature in AMD cpu cooler.

Noctua makes the fastest and quietest fans... my friend has an air cooler from noctua, turned the pc on the CPU didn't even get very hot

Msi dragon center lets u turn it to full speed if u want to just set cpu fan to extreme performance

When i was overclocking with this cooler i left it on high. Definitely a nice addition and i believe more coolers need this feature.

The fan sounds like the garbage truck that drives by my house every tuesday

When I buy something I generally give the box a good look on both faces and all sides and read the instructions that are included. When I was younger I was generally called on by my parents to fix the TV or VCR - now I wonder why they never bothered to read the manuals which were written easy enough for a child to read with pictures and all.

Not only on those coolers but those switches appeared on pwm fans to. Unlike your cpu cooler those fans have 3 levels of speed. Pretty good for driverless setup I think
