About fuckin time LOL
Launcher 10 has been my favorite launcher for like 3 years now. I use it on my Nokia 7.2. Turn on the resize button on the Start screen from the Launcher settings. It works just like the old windows phones that way instead of pressing Edit to resize the tiles. Also press on the letters where the app menu is and you can get to it app quicker by letter instead of scrolling all the way down to get to a app at the bottom.

Just got a Duo & discovered your channel... thanks a heap for doing this! Lots of helpful info /discussion for what is admittedly a 'new frontier' in PDA's

5:57 mark, when twitter opens on the right screen, for me it would be ideal. Would it not? You then have your pinned apps readily available on the left screen.

Surface rt 1516 32gb I wanted to upload Windows clean, but if I want to upload the system, the tablet turns on and off, how to fix it and upload the system?

Thanks for doing this video!! I've been using "Launcher 10" on another dual screen device, the LG G8X for more than a year now and I'm very satisfied with the results, as, one screen reminds exactly of my live tiles on my old Lumia 950. When I want my G8X to have a more traditional "DUO" look: I can temporarely switch to Microsoft Launcher on my G8X, for a while, before going back to Launcher 10 later as it is what I prefer.

I really liked using Launcher 10 on my previous Android phone, and I appreciate they're adopting it for the Surface Duo. But for now, I too will stick with the Microsoft Launcher just to see if they (MS) can iron everything out.

Have you tried floating apps or anything similar? I'm looking for a side bar option but it's super difficult to get to work with the duo.

I don't have a duo, but I use square home 3 on my Samsung S10e. I've replicated Windows Phone fairly well. Does it work on Duo?

Seems like the Launcher was putting apps back where they were... I don't Launcher 10 is paying attention to which side it was launched from, especially since it doesn't reflow the UI when the other app is launched. What might actually be a good concession though would be for the tray of apps to become just that when another app is on screen. The UI that I think would work is that the Launcher puts a launched app on the right. Dragging the home left would reveal the tray on the right side and move the active app left. Or if it is folded, the tray would just show as a slide out. Going back to the portfolio view with an app docked on the right, launching from the Home would show the new app on the left. Slid over to see the tray with the docked app on the left and the tray on the right, launching from the tray would open the new app on the right. Finally, bringing up home with two apps visible, it would bring up home on the panel you recall home. Sliding in this case would reveal the tray, but it would also remember if home was opened on the right and returning home in that case would not slide the app back to the right if you opened home on the right, opened the tray, and then closed the tray.

The other idea is that apps are launched more like a stack. In portfolio, launching an app would automatically put an app on the left and the home would occupy the right, even if it were the tray. Then you could still pan the home to reveal a tray on the right, but the first app would remain in place. A second app would fill the right. Raising home for either display would open home on that side, and would function like a single screen. The oddity I can think of with this design would be opening home on the right with an app docked on the left and Launcher 10 already on the right. Would it just expand Launcher 10 to cover both displays again? That might actually be a useful gesture regardless.

To be fair Surface Duo support was added relatively recently by launcher 10 so it's natural to feel rough around the edges.

A couple of advices by an avid launcher 10 user. Add Whicons icon pack for more white icons variety. Linebit Light or LineX White for more unconventional white icons. Yahoo weather widget is the closest to Windows with the wallpaper of the weather changing dynamically depending on the time city or country. And it's free. Activate all the notification bells in web, YouTube, Twitter, news apps etc for the live tiles because there's no point in having launcher 10 without having the live tiles! Replaio radio (if the station supports it) and Spotify show the albums covers on the tile. Thanks for the cool video.

I think it opens the first app on the right screen, leaving the tiles available to open the next app. I guess the thinking is your pinned apps are you preferred apps, so the first app opens over the start screen instead

I'm a Windows Phone refugee living in an Android world and Launcher 10 is how I've been able to survive. The UI just works the best for me. Anticipating that I would purchase a Duo when I saw it announced, I purchased a dual screen Axon M and tried to get comfortable with the MS Launcher. Thus far, I don't really care for the MS Launcher. I'll just have to try it on the Duo to see if it makes sense to me on that device. I just assumed that Launcher 10 wouldn't work at all, but this video has given me some hope. Thank you for makin his video.

So I'm confused with the Microsoft launcher VS stock. Because I downloaded the Microsoft launcher and enabled it on the phone and it doesn't seem much different than the stock launcher. Is it the same thing? And if so then was the recent Microsoft launcher update in the app store supposed to be the January update? Because the system update still says Nov 5. It's aggravating how much I love/hate this device. Its so good, but it also freezes up and reboots so much, and screens switch by accident it just.... Idk. I love it but I hate it at the same time. I wish it would get some major improvements.

Does the group app function in the MS launcher not work using this launcher?

Started a thread about exactly this in the Surface Duo reddit. Everyone so far said they go back to the stock launcher. I was looking to see some slick setups. Yours is damn cool, I used square home launcher instead of launcher 10.

Watching you, it looks like the launcher remembers where you displayed it last and tries to open it there. By default it would like to open apps on the right side.

Nova Launcher works as well, but then you forego being able to use your app pairs until Nova Launcher updates to be able to do so. In order to use the phone as expected, you're going to have to use the Microsoft Launcher.

I like square launcher a lot, I wish the LG V60 supported launchers across the dual screen case.
