Guinan is in what is actually my favourite scene from TNG. It is when Wesley Crusher is having a moment of doubt about his future (something I am sure all young people do). He is standing in the corner, staring out a window, and Guinan comes walking up to him and they have a quiet little chat. He opens up to her, and she gives him some words of wisdom. Meanwhile, outside the window, the Enterprise is leaving planetary orbit, flying past the sun and going to warp. For some reason, it just all seems perfect to me, the characters, the dialogue, the background, it all comes together to create a very heartfelt moment.

I'm fangirling so hard right now. Guinan is my favorite minor TNG character. I grew up watching TOS and I remember looking up to Uhura as well, because she was a smart, strong, beautiful, inspiring woman. It's so cool that Whoopi saw that inspiration, and went to such an effort to make sure that another generation had that inspiration as well.
