The way these foods are being shown are completely wrong. You’re seeing a poncey chefs version. What we eat looks much, much worse. Still tastes great though

Ironically, the number one, Beans on Toast, actually seems the most normal here on the other side of the pond.

I love a Scotch egg. Beans on toast is just a classic and so is Toad in the hole and stake and kidney pie. A local food round my way what non local people probably dont get is the famous and delicious Staffordshire Oatcakes. They are just heavenely. Stuffed with cheese and bacon served with a bit of barabeque sauce. Seve me that and then leave me alone for a while. Because oatcakes demand respect.

Beans on toast is the favorite here. It didn’t look as though the toast in the video clip had butter on it, though - lots of butter is a key ingredient!

The trick to a good bubble and squeak is DON'T touch it. Let it crisp up on the bottom of the cast iron pan.

American here. I live in England and I'm crazy for black pudding!!!! If a restaurant has it, I don't even think, I just get it. At the grocery store, I make sure I leave with it. No one has ever introduced it to me either, I just took a leap and loved it!! . . .same with haggis when I went to Scotland.

Haggis is absolutely gorgeous. I urge anyone who hasn't tried it to do so.

As an Aussi and the family cook I can tell you that steak and kidney pie and baked beans on toast are two big hits over here!
Great show.

I tried haggis on my first trip to Scotland and to be honest I was fully expecting to hate it due to knowing what went into it and generally im not a big offal eater but it was really tasty dish and Im glad I tried it.
