I've been a Grand Turismo fan since the original PlayStation, but the requirement to always be online is a huge turn off. It just means at some point I will have to witness everything I worked for in the game be lost once the servers are shut down. No online only game I am aware off has ever been retired by giving players a chance to retain their data locally. Its extremely unlikely that I would play any of my 30 year old games but, the fact that I still have the save files for them feel like it wasn't all for nothing.

I got my PS5 3 weeks ago and I honestly thought I'd dive straight into GoW, but SIFU caught me by surprise! I wasted several hours there and now after getting everything, I just want to play it again from scratch. Of course, after that I sank my last PTO week off on GoW (almost 60h in a week, worth it!)

Now... I'll start Nier Automata for the first time

Also, a game that came to console this year is called Spellforce Reforced. It’s a fun rpg/RTS hybrid, story driven, lots of spoken dialogue, very customizable, with even PvPvE. You can play the 2 hour trial version of if for free

Even though it's definitely not new, I think The Witcher 3 deserves an honorable mention on the list. The next-gen upgrade really brought a lot to the table and breathed new life into it. Not like we needed another excuse to play The Witcher 3, but it certainly makes it that much better when we do.

I love GhostWire: Tokyo so much, the story is....okay, but honestly the side quests, creatures, and spirits are my favorite. The lil stalls for items found throughout your travels, floating lil shop attendants, just the art and design of the game as a whole is just 😱❤✨ Also I find it kinda funny that the last 3-4 times (that I've noticed, at least😂) the game has been mentioned in a video, it seems like it's always Falcon bringing it up and I appreciate that.

Gran Turismo 7 is my favorite of this year. I fell off gaming for several years so GT7 is my first Gran Turismo since the PS2. I love the game.

Midnight Suns, Thymesia, and Ghostwire were among some of the most fun I had this year but I can say they are definitely hot-or-cold games when it comes to the person. Gotham Knights too, but it had a little bit more of a hook to get the public in..

I have a PS4 pro and I'm not sure if I should swap it for a PS5 at half the price of just wait for the PS5 pro or PS6?
