Transforming Wound Care - a patient-focused animation on lower limb wound and treatment pathway

Commissioned by NHS England and hosted by the Health Innovation Network, the National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP) launched in 2018, focusing on three work streams: Lower Limb Ulcers, Pressure Ulcers and Surgical Wounds.

In 2022, the Health Innovation Network launched the Transforming Wound Care (TWC) programme, a Real-World evaluation of the implementation of the Leg and Foot Ulcer Recommendation developed by the NWCSP Team under their Lower Limb Workstream.

Clara’s Journey is an animation produced for the TWC programme. It is a patient-focused animation giving detail on a lower limb wound and the treatment pathway to help educate and inform patients who are at risk of developing, or have, a lower limb wound.
