Zander, thanks a bunch to testing the VlogStar. Just notice one thing, the yellow ball on the deadcat needed to align with the star of the microphone. Otherwise, the back of the mic don't get coverage from the deadcat and get more wind noise. Sorry, this is might not the best solution for side selfie screen cameras. We designed it for ZV1, Canon M50/60, action cameras and our IDOLCAM most of all, cheers :)

Surprisingly clear sound, apart from wind noise. Were you using the dead cat then or not? At 1m distance the fullness of sound dropped, but still a lot of crispness, which a lot of other lower cost ones lose. Interesting!
