I'm a high school social studies teacher and I did this very activity in my classes recently. I put quotes up with no names attached to them and asked students to see if they could identify which quotes were from H!tler or an "American politician". Definitely some surprised folks to say the least.

I was born in the 60s. My grandfather fought in WW2 and told me about it. I could never understand how someone like that could have come to power. I still can't understand it now that it's happening here.

Being from Germany, this still boggles my mind how people can STILL cheer for him!

It’s not even an exaggeration now (because apparently everything HAS to be exaggerated during US election campaigns), he’s telling you CLEARLY what he wants to do!! Even if he doesn’t do it exactly like this, he WILL do something similar which is just as bad as he had said initially, if not even more!!

Please! Just take it from us who already went through it once! Please learn from our mistakes, so that you won’t do them too!!
