Thank you for not moving past the Hitler revelations. Although conventional news media really needs to stop leaving all the hard work up to the late night comedy hosts.

I still cannot wrap my brain around why, even after 9 years of this, there are still people who think the whiniest liar and most fragile crybaby on Earth is admirable

A Closer Look is always great, but this one was a whole new level of brilliance. Seth's delivery and timing, pantomiming our collective disgust, frustration, and fear was spot on. And major props for the "German Chancellor" bit with Angela Merkel. I was crying! You are doing the crucial work of calling out the danger and idiocy of Trump better than all the major news outlets combined. Thank you for this.

This is a 5 alarm fire and the media just shrugs. Sad state when you go to comedians for reliable news.

From Germany here. Very well written and delivered, "A Closer Look".

"He rules a billion people with an iron fist, " is the single most terrifying thing you can ever hear a president say with admiration and jealousy.

Why is he so highly supported?

You're right it's not complicated, Seth. "If you're shrugging it (Trump's love for fascism) off as baked in, then you're just saying that you're okay with fascism." Excellent!

Down with fascists, down with those that are okay with fascism, and down with Trump.

Seth is covering this story better than any of the national media.

I'm glad Seth is calling out the mainstream news for minimalizing such a serious shituation. This is bad, people. It's time to dismantle the "gop, " as it should have been since 2020.

Seth and these writers deserve all the awards. Such a continuously brilliant segment.

I actually feel so damn validated that Seth was so clearly disgusted with not only Trump's admiration of one of the most horrific people in history but the mainstream media's glossing over it that his anger transitioned to overly-silly characterization. I do that too when I can't fathom the idiocy.

The fact that Hitler has wandered into the conversation and we are recognizing it as 'par for the course' is absolutely terrifying.

There's so much to love in this ACL. The rapid-fire rant at the beginning, the dripping sarcasm throughout. Seth jackal-correcting the NH governor and channeling the graphics team. Great energy, great delivery. Well done!

Looking for outrage or a reaction from Trump supporters at this point is pointless. If they can still support this guy after Jan.6, it doesn’t surprise me they shrug at him praising Hitler. The question is if this makes a difference to undecided voters. Policies aside, if one candidate praised one of the most evil men in human history, that should be enough to question if Kamala and Trump are two of the same kind of politician or that they’re better off voting third party. Kamala is being grilled and held to the standard of a typical candidate, but Trump isn’t. Making a statement by voting third party will affect all of us if it gets Trump elected. No matter how much you may not be sure of Kamala’s policies, our country will be worse off if Trump wins. That may sound like an exaggeration about anyone else, but for him, it’s not a stretch.

Thing is 'he did some good things' is one of the MOST common myths about Mister Moustache. They'll point to how good things were in Germany after he rose to power, as if that excuses everything he did afterwards... Most of those 'good things' were done at the expense of many of his own people in order to make himself look good - it was a mirage created by his propaganda department. It proved so effective that not only do other authoritarian leaders still copy it to this day (look at a DPRK military parade or celebration of their founder's birthday and try to tell me it doesn't look like the pageantry from the 1936 Berlin Olympics), but people still buy it. This myth persists because people REFUSE to study and learn from history.

Now, this may not be a rule when it comes to selecting a president, but *I* believe that anyone who aims to be the leader of ANY democratic nation should not be so easily duped by propaganda that's 80 years old. DJT is dangerously ignorant...
