This has been a long time coming. With 22" being the most popular BD size, I never could understand why Gretsch did everything but the 22" in the awesome Catalina Club. These are the perfect kits to take out to weekend gigs when you don't want to risk getting your pride and joy bashed up. The hardware stands up to the test, whilst the shells are more than capable of producing an excellent sound. Thank you Gretsch for plugging this huge gap in the line up.

22x14, sensible bass drum depth. Would be great if you could offer the same for the Renown series

I acquired an old first gen Catalina mahogany kit like this in black wrap finish with the classic 8”-12”, 9”-13”, 16”-16” and a 16”-22” kick and they sound killer super fat warm and they cut hard through all styles as it is an open jam and I am the house drummer.
