I’ve been using it for 7 months. I would say it’s a “hit or miss” item.
I use apple CarPlay and it works great. You can still use it as a mirror, only if you turn off the screen. It would be more challenging to see if you had windows tint. Bluetooth connects quick. You can dim the screen a fair amount, so it won’t light up your face at night.
Around the 4th month, it would have issues with the interface. This would only happen when it turns on for the first time, then it would function normally through out the day. Sometimes the screen would turn on automatically seconds after I turned off the screen.
I’ve used this mirror through hot days (90F) and wouldn’t have issues with it. There were days where it would randomly restart.
I like the mirror because I’m able to keep the original interior look of my old car and have apple CarPlay. I only wish it wasn’t buggy sometimes. Idk maybe I got a bad one? Hit or miss. 7.8/10

I have two of these and find that the placement where the interior mirror used to be is so much better than in dash Carplay. It's an excellent device and great value. Anyone know how to change the splash screen to an image of the car it's being used in?

What is not clear in the specs is if it can connect to a Bluetooth car stereo while using wireless CarPlay.
So one Bluetooth phone to mirror, and one Bluetooth mirror to car stereo? Thanks.

Excellent video, so I bought this, following your link, but it doesn't do the split carplay/camera screen. What firmware does it show it has? The one I have is 20230505 with configuration M33_CPAA_V200B.

Can you just charge it with the cigarette lighter cable and then remove the cable to drive after it's been charged to 100% or does the power cable have to stay plugged in 24/7?

Say if my car already had Apple CarPlay but I wanted to install this as well, would it be possible to connect my phone to both my car’s Apple CarPlay and the mirror Apple CarPlay and have them sync together so that whatever I do on either the mirror or the car it will be the same on both screens?
