As fun as the series is, I don’t think any President would be stupid enough to anger their party’s chief House whip this way — especially since the GOP controlled the Senate.

Frank could've been the one we saw in the series, but he played by the rules, didn't scheme or manipulate anyone... until they betrayed him

0:47 this right here is what most people are missing. People think the reason Frank turned was because of betrayal. The real reason Frank turned was because of lack of respect. Had Walker showed Frank respect by including him in the initial discussions, Frank may have been willing to stay in Congress (or at least come up with a better alternative). But they didn't respect Frank, hence is why they backstabbed him.
