In the comics, Mark was having lunch or something with his mother. Anissa didn’t touch her but threatened to harm Debbie if Mark didn’t decide to meet and speak with her. I seem to recall Anissa also apologizing afterwards for threatening his mom before they got down to business.

What they made it perfect for the break up feels bad is how romatinc they made the fly scene look like along with the song.. It's like driving with a girl that you like in your car, , on a date without a care in the world. I felt the butterflies.

For those like yours truly that haven't read the comics but have heard about Anissa, did she seem a little more ... "benevolent" than you thought she'd be? Yeah, she's _damn_ powerful, but she's less aggressive than we've seen from other Viltrumites so far.

There’s a darkly humorous irony in Anissa showing up just as amber told mark there are some problems he can’t punch his way out of. Especially since if it wasn’t for the power gap, anissa would be EXACTLY the kind of problem mark is supposed to punch his way out…
