I had an idea. Some friends were discussing the annoyances of a wired mouse for gaming, and the drawbacks associated with common wireless mouses. So this is what I was thinking:

A wireless mouse that transmits signals magnetically to a mousepad that is wired. This way the issue of mouse cable is solved while also eliminating latency issues and jitter commonly faced with proprietary wireless transmitters. The mousepad could also use induction to charge the mouse when it is idle. How do we implement this? I don't really know.

Here are some potential ways:
1)Design a coil of wire that is sensitive to the magnetic field emitted by the wireless mouse. The coil would need to be made of a material that is easily magnetized, such as copper or iron. The size and shape of the coil would need to be determined by the strength of the magnetic field emitted by the wireless mouse.

2) Connect the coil to a circuit that can decode the magnetic signal. The circuit would need to be able to convert the magnetic signal into a digital signal that can be understood by the computer.

3) Embed the coil in the mousepad. The coil would need to be embedded in the mousepad in a way that it is not easily damaged.

4) Test the mousepad to make sure that it is able to pick up the magnetic signal from the wireless mouse. The mousepad would need to be tested in a variety of environments to make sure that it is not affected by interference from other electronic devices.

Let me know if this is something that could work and still be affordable for the average gaming enthusiast.

This is great. Can you check if this work on iPad, iPhone?

Interesting idea. Maybe you could make an air mouse with an accelerometer ?

if me where with you, then i would have suggested that i wouldn't work, bcoz the distance between two magnets up/down right left can be moved, but the how much points it move will create major problem.

More small magnet will work better. Try it.

Hi bro.
I did the same project but instead of magnets I used gyro + accelerometer for the movement. But I have trouble connecting and the mouse dosent work.
Looking forward for ur solution!!
