In 2022, it was announced that AEW owner Tony Khan had purchased ROH. And in the near 3 years that have followed ROH has sort of lacked any direction and is a shell of what the ROH brand during its prime era. There is a bit of good in ROH, but most of ROH is forgettable, uninteresting and just bad. And some even say that Tony Khan’s ROH is WWE ECW 2.0, and others go as far as to say that AEW Killed ROH. So today we’re gonna investigate all that and more and we’re actually gonna watch an episode of modern day ROH, to see where it’s all gone wrong. Like the video and let’s get into it.

I remember everyone made a big deal of AEW getting the ROH video library only for WBD to have no interest putting it on Max.

Tony buying ROH was the beginning of the end for AEW. He was already having a hard time booking and managing one roster. Adding a whole other promption was the last thing they needed.

Only good thing about Tony Khan’s ROH is Athena. She has been carrying the brand on her back and hopefully in 2025 she will finally be on AEW TV
