I love how Ryuk only laughs when Light is put in an awkward position or he pulls some really slick manoeuvres. It’s a great portrayal of him as a neutral observer, his only desire is entertainment.

Ryuk got that uncontrollable laughter that makes you have to turn and/or leave the room. Also, maniacal laughter makes him get his good posture back for a few seconds at least.
