These death, napalm batteries are being stored in multiple family dwellings. At other sensible points of history, such a danger would have been banned in NYC.

that shop sold cheap crap including fire prone scooters. 90% of the time its caused by neglience, where wrong charger is used, and left unattended, or too many chargers plugged into one outlet. and likel grade c batteries. dont blame ebikes as you dont know the facts.

They need to create an ISO standard for ebike battery manufacturers & only allow those who meet that standard to sell in the US. As it is now it's only by word of mouth which brands are safe of which there are many, but some of the bigger players are Samsung, LG, Panasonic, & Shinamo. As I said there's many more, especially in Europe like Bosh & Gouach.
