I swear I just heard and saw my dad when you just said you ain't got to buy no expensive ass tools to get the job done(he's been dead almost 7 years now)

I wish more mechanics would say what you say about expensive tools!

I agree totally. I'm a craftsman tool guy mostly because if by chance I do break one I can run to the store get it exchanged and back in action to finish the job. But I will say I've bought a few husky things because they warranty them for life as well. Normally if I break a tool it's because I'm using it for something it wasn't really made for

Heck yes, I sure do enjoy your videos. At 67 years young, I learn something every time.

I enjoy your shows. I wish you were close to me. Good mechanics are hard to find. Trustworthy ones eaven harder.
Thank you for your shows.

Agreed! Better than going 100 grand in debt to snap on.

There's always a way no matter how heavy the equipment is. The #1 tech in all of our company has a bunch of harbor freight tools and an old craftsman tool box about 42inches wide. He has no snap on or tool truck stuff yet he's #1 and is in an area that has no where near the volume of other stores. He's gone to help out other stores where their #1 techs have a giant ass snap on box with a ton of high end tools and this dude was able to get the job done faster. I heard stories about him but I didn't believe it until I worked with him then I believed it. Dudes a car god

I fully agree with you. I use my tools to repair and maintain my own car, I usually look for what is cheapest and gives best warranty.

Well said I've been wrenching for 20 plus years.. I use husky Craftsman and Harbor Freight.. They all break the same.. But for all my electric impacts I'm a Milwaukee fan lol

Love hearing a good mechanic say this stuff. Keep up the great work

I tell this to guys all the time. I’ve never taken out a loan to buy tools. If you need to start with harbor freight then do it and start making money. The life time warranty is great.

Great piece of advice I heard. Buy all cheap tools, and whichever ones you break are the ones you can replace with nicer quality.

I was talking to a bunch of young AMT students and one guy kept asking about Craftsman tools. He had been told they would laugh him out of the hangar if he used anything less than Snap on. I said I only buy something from a tool truck if I absolutely cannot get it elsewhere or make it.

Good stuff! Thanks for the vid! Someone once told me, “buy the best tools you can afford” - I’d agree but if Amazon gets the job done, better than not done. Lifetime warrant is something that needs to be considered although, that’s what your really paying for off the tool truck.

I bought a set of Ares ratchets and guys in my shop who basically only buy snap on where saying they wouldn't last the week. Been a couple months now and they're doing fine!

Thanks Buddy. They look good as gold.

Could you please do a similar tour for inexpensive scan tools,

Many thanks.

What's crazy is I've never seen these before but just the other day I was thinking about line wrenches. This is exactly what I came up with in my head. Now I can even buy a set sweet.
