It's hard for some of us to let go of the perpetual search for a "miracle in a jar" concept, but I know what you say is true. Thanks for reinforcing what I already know. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it because you look amazing! I'm much older, but you know, I still get hit on!! lol

I agree with everything you say about misinformation and high-end products. I also agree that a "cocktail" of products, with different ingredients is really the best weapon for good skincare. I was wondering, do you have a "Top 10" list of skincare products that you use...and that you have researched the ingredients?

Thanks!

What's confusing about skincare is some products that clear up or helps with wrinkles for one person, could completely break some other person out or not do anything at all. It's all about trial and error and learn what works for you. Ross, you're still looking good and wish you would post videos more often 😉

I can't seem to find any info online that says peppermint oil is bad for skin. That seems to be another myth :)

The only moisturizer that ever really, truly worked for me was high end. Christian Dior's IOD day cream. It claimed to have water from some sea or another, who cares, it was $60 (on sale at Sephora, I tried a sample and it felt amazing). It just WORKED. All my discoloration and dryness was gone after about a week. It felt SO fantastic! My makeup went on like HD.
Unfortunately they don't make it anymore, and nothing I've tried comes close. 😭😭 Basically, it comes down to the product closely matching your skin's own pH balance, everyone has different pH so some products will work fantastic on some people and not on all on others. A drugstore brand can match you perfectly! You just have to try lots of samples until you hit the jackpot. (And then stock up in case it gets discontinued!)

Great insights! Is there a book that you can recommend about this topic? (skin, hair, scalp, vitamins...)?
Like there are books about fitness and lifting weights, with explanations about the how and why, and what to do, Thanks!

Hi Ross! Could you make a video on identifying your skin type?
There are so many skin types out there (oily, normal, combination, dry, rosacea, sensitive & many more????) and it gets really confusing. Too much information out there be it right or wrong!
I'm having a hard time trying to figure this out and because of this, i'm unable to get the appropriate skincare products. I'm basically only using water for the past few months.

Question, I use St. Ives skin wash because i feel it has decently kept my skin clear but mostly because of their environmental consciousness. It makes me feel good that there products are made to help keep toxins out of the environment, even their exfoliants are seeds vs the little blue beads in other products. My question is am I buying this product based on lies as well? Also are there better products for the same price range? Its only about 5 dollars.

Do you think eating one bad thing once in a while will break me out? If so how long do you think it'll take for the acne will start to form

All overpriced skincare lines need a 'proprietary' ingredient in order to try and justify their ridiculous prices.

Over priced skin care lines, piss me off! I found out my mother was paying $100 dollars for some small tube of whatever. She doesn't have the money to spend $100 dollars on a small tube of one thing, and I am sure many people don't, or many people can, but it is not wise for to do so, as they may be ok financially, they are not completely well off, and they are draining them of money, that could be put to better use. All because men and woman want to look good and feel good. I total get it. I tend to like natural skin care, but a good one is really hard to find. The one I used Natures Gate, was out of this world for me! They discontinued it, and can't find anything as gentle or as effective for me. I am using alba pineapple line, not really impressed, but was cheap, and the best I could find. :(
