Pulled By DVSA (VOSA) Overweight And Infringements.....

In this weeks truck vlog we get stopped by DVSA for a random check and found to be overweight with some Tachograph infringements,. Then it's off to London with a walking floor trailer full of scrap metal.

This video is to highlight the vital role the DVSA play in keeping our roads safe. If it wasn't for this enforcement there wouldn't be fair competition in the haulage industry, drivers would be forced to work unregulated hours with poorly maintained trucks on our roads resulting in worse working conditions for us truck drivers.
It also goes to prove that if you are polite and professional, even with minor offences they are fair and objective as long as there is evidence you are doing your best to work within the law. This is my 3rd encounter with the DVSA and it has always been a positive and professional experience.

"No matter how clean you are, you feel nervous" A statement from an honest man

Great to see a professional driver explaining some of the everyday challenges drivers face. Great skills, great attitude and thanks for explaining the issues to the wider public. The industry needs a PR specialist.

It was good to see everyone being civil, flexible, exercising common sense and just doing their jobs.

I know it’s only a simple thing, but I’m always impressed by the precision of drivers reversing these vehicles.

I really admire your driving skills - especially reversing. I could never begin to even think of doing it. Amazing to you and all other HGV drivers.

Congratulations on the new job Kev! Really pleased for you! Enjoyed this episode and it really does help if you have manners with people that can easily make your day awful 😂😂 😊

This video is very useful for me as a new pass driver! I strap everything, and do my checks every day, but fear for my life if I ever get stopped since I'm a worrier and think they'll find something to screw me for!

Another great vlog as always, i had a bad experience with vosa at sleaford A17. 3 minor infringements and was told that i was going be fined £600, after about 10 minutes of bricking it they said don't worry and can go. So that's why i get nervous every time. Good luck on your new job and challenges and looking forward to new vlogs

Most interesting video. Took me back to my days in general and container transport, out of the port of Felixstowe, most of which was enjoyable but some presented a few challenges. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Good luck in the new job. Thanks very much.

I liked the sinister music as you followed the car round to the nest of vipers.
As has already been said, Just as well you had not refueled before the pull.
It's a bit unfair that you have to trust third party weight bridges and VOSA have dynamic weighbridges that will find an axle overload no matter how small.
They even put coaches over and put them over the bridge looking for axle overload.
I hope you new job goes really well and we shall miss the Ovlov.
All the best Chief.
