This is part of 10 lectures that were recorded for Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine's (GCSOM) "COVID-19: Health Systems & Pandemics" course.
The concept of this course originated in Spring 2020 after multiple clinicians, students, Geisinger leaders and others expressed a desire to learn more about the SARS CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to introduce the learner to the evaluation, management, scientific underpinnings and impact of a pandemic. Lectures employ GCSOM faculty, Geisinger clinicians and Geisinger researchers.
Please note: The lectures were originally recorded between October and December 2020. All content is felt to remain relevant. Since these lectures were recorded vaccines have been introduced and a significant second surge has occurred.
