Take Your Chess Skills To The Next Level With High-Quality Courses

In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares a super-aggressive chess opening for Black against 1.e4 that boasts a massive 82% win rate in the most played line. In fact, Black can secure a win in just 11 moves. This "evil" opening will make your opponents question their sanity and might even make them consider quitting chess.

While it might appear that you're playing a reckless game by continuously giving up pawns, the reality is quite the opposite. This tricky gambit gives Black a huge initiative and excellent attacking opportunities right from the opening.

If you're not inclined to play such a risky and aggressive gambit, you can opt for the relatively less risky and more solid Blackburne Gambit, where Black plays 3...Nxc6 instead.

the 1:45 image perfectly captures my strategy most of the time.

0:13 if d4 - cxd5, Nf3 - Nc6, Bb5 - Bf5
0:13 if d4 - cxd5, Bd3 - Nc6, c3 - Qc7

I have played this alot, they almost never play Nf3, and instead play d4, which stops you from playing e5, gives black a much worse position

Interesting. I have had to face the 'normal' Scandi gambit (3... Nxc6) a few times and usually have no issues winning as White as I have done my prep and typically at my level (c1000) Black hasn't - providing you don't fall for the traps in the video Black has just watched. No-one has played 3... Qc7 yet although I expect to see it soon following Igor's publicity. Even at my level I would not take on b7. Isn't the principle "if you don't understand a gambit don't accept it" ? I would just have played d4 automatically.

Pawns are made to be sacrificed to pay aggressively.

LOVE the Danish gambit and the Scandi so I’ll be playing this a ton. 💪

I just used this in a blitz game. Mate in 10 moves. Very gratifying. Thanks Igor!

I found helpful the idea of queenside kasteling if white after 0-0 kg4 doesn't play "something" but the imho natural move 8. d4, for to take back with the queen if black knight takes in the next move.

I think in the first variation pawn a6 needs to be played or they’re just gonna pin your knight with their bishop. The question is is there enough time to do that when you’ve already gambited 2 pawns

The more solid lines are still important to know if your opponent simply refuses to take the third pawn.

Dang, this has some serious Alapin Gambit vibes. That's the first thing this variation reminded me of. Great video!

So, what would you say would be White's best defence against this attack?
It seems to me that Black's attack is possible just because the white king is stationed on g1. If I were playing White, my instinct would tell me to accept the gambit, take as many pawns as Black is offering me, then develop my queen side and castle there. Castling queen-side should stop Black's attack dead in its tracks, unless I'm missing something. Does this sound like a good plan?
Or would White be better off just declining the gambit in the first place?
Or none of the above (in which case, what else)?

Is it Blackburne-Kloosterboer variation of Scandinavian defense?

The first variation may be unhinged but it just got me a win! 😊

No opponent plays like that I have lost around 6 games trying to make this work they don't even take the pawn in the first move.
