Igniting a local movement: Mike Morrice at TEDxLaurierUniversity

Mike Morrice is passionate about making a difference. His goal is to create a more environmentally friendly future by reducing carbon emissions. In his TEDxLaurierUniversity talk, Mike talks about how he ignited a movement in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. He founded "Sustainable Waterloo Region" that works with companies to measure emissions, reach reduction targets and recognizes those that do well.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. I see only 1766 views and no input but think you are going to keep working away at these issues for some time. You don't come across as a quiter and good on you. The fight for what is right is always a long one. We met recently when you were working the street I live on. 62, small guy at the side of a white compact car. I told you I had sent one call for help to Raj some time back and he/staff didn't even email back a single sentence. I will be watching you as we progress down the road to the future. You're someone my gut tells me is sincere and I hope you continue to run and win some seat(s) of power down that road Mike. If I wasn't sick I'd be asking how I can get involved and help but thats going to have to wait because what I face is gonna take time.
