My bro Haji was a Japanese Chin and lived to 18 years. He was a sweetheart and had such a personality. Japanese Chins are the best dogs that could ever possibly exist.

My japonese chin Mia is almost 14 years old to be 15 this year? I used to have 2 japonese chin girls but sadly I lost my Luna at the age of 11 year old because a heart problem something very coment amount japonese chin. My Mia takes heart medication and is doing well! Thank you God! Japonese chin is the beast breed for me!

Thank you for this. Even though it's after the fact since we have a Chin puppy, I believe 9 weeks old. I guess the calm, reserved demeanor comes in later? They love to chew on stuff and won't let you sleep either, LOL. And of course it's perhaps a bit before the massive hair stage of adulthood. I can see the stubborn side of them already, it's only day 3. We have always had chihuahuas so this may be more challenging in the beginning.

My first Chin lived to be almost 15. She was sweet and very much a Chin. My new Chin puppy is almost 1 and is hyper, zooms all the time and plays hard. Very unchin like. Very disappointed. Not sure what went wrong.
