To be fair, if you read the first three books in the Shadow and Bone series, it might be more enjoyable.

"Girl in Pieces" is a magnificent book, but be aware that it does not romanticize suffering or mental problems, it is a book that shows reality as it is. We are used to too many books, movies and shows/series that romanticize mental illnesses, such as depression or that romanticize abuse, rape, and many other lacerating things, that is why many times when we get something hard to chew we don't like it. To give a silly example: it's the difference between real food and junk food 🤣 or orange juice from the fruit and artificial juice powder.

I’ve read 3/5 of these books and here are my opinions:
Six of Crows - I know everyone lives this book but the chapters were too long, I had no idea what was going on, and there were too many characters that I kept confusing
Girl in Pieces - I dnfed this book. I read it because I liked the focus on mental health, but after the first 80 pages, it was just about her working and trying to buy a house. My friend told me what happened at the end, but I just didnt find it all that interesting.
Love in the Time of Serial Killers - I hated the main character. She was the definition of quirky and weird and not like other girls. The guy also sucked. And the brother. And everyone. The only character I liked was the cat.

We’ll always have summer was the worst in the series. But it’s worth reading because I think the last book might be the best in the series or a close shot
