This is not surprising to me as a Red Bull fan. If you're not Max then you're expected to be within a certain percentage close to him or they will sack you. Honestly its a miracle Checo has lasted this long. But that's really due to lack of immediate options to replace him.

RB never wanted to give DR3 a chance at senior team. They were after Visa Cash App money all along to keep the junior team running. Now that the team has progressed so much, their only objective was fulfilling Liam’s 5 race obligation in his contract. They kept Daniel in the dark to buy time and convince Visa Cash App to keep sponsoring their trash team after sacking Daniel. F1 is another dirty business, no surprises.
