Politicians need to leave their backward ways behind and drop the neat acronyms and pass a bill that's called paid maternity leave act (PMLA) average out what other countries offer and provide that as a mandate. It can be paid for by reducing the military budget or out of finding the 2.3 trillion dollars that Donald Rumsfeld said the DoD "lost" and couldn't account for.
