Back in the days of storage facility auctions, before any stupid tv shows, youtube or even innerwebs beyond the basics, when you could still get real bargains, I went to one. I had cash on hand and this one double unit was full of stuff. What I saw and what I was bidding on was about a dozen HP LaserJet toner cartridges in boxes sitting on top of the metal shelves in this unit. I knew they were $150 a piece. I bid something like $500 and won it. I went first to the toner carts. They were all EMPTIES> Shoot!

But what I hadn't figured on was the unit belonged to a video rental store. There were THOUSANDS of vhs, laserdisc, and some beta format, even. I started my business on ebay, when you could sell things WITHOUT EVEN BEING able to put pictures on the site! It was based on TRUST and the seller's reputation. My rep went GOLDEN, immediately. I sold HUNDREDS of those things for top dollar. Laserdiscs for as much as $50 apiece. Each VHS was $5 and you could mail them in a usps-provided carboard mailer for about $.79.

I made a small fortune, and started with thousands of good feedback. He's not kidding.

Oh, and there was also a new Trek mountain bike in it that I gave to my bro-in-law and he has it to this day. Sold the toner carts for a nice profit, too.

I have a lot of GameCube games. The prices are All over the place. I suspect it's because of people claiming shit is worth more than it actually is. Who is buying VHS? Very few I'm sure

Sounds good but that's a lot of time and effect to log or just look into 1000 vsh tapes for eBay or any other site.

I got 350(ish) vsh tapes recently for free off nextdoor. Not 1 tape was reselling for over $2. The special editions or first editions weren't even worth it. I had the ones the "sites" say are worth $30 but wasn't the case.

Buy price: 20$ for 1000 tapes = 0.02$ per tape
Sold: 200 tapes X 28$ = 5600$
Storage time payed by 800 tapes.
Profit: 5580$
Nice 👌
