My biggest issue is the inability to color your character freely. In theory, to unlock all colors for every character skin that's colorable, the minimum is roughly $2, 184. The maximum is $4, 004

Dude, that's not a problem if you played Warframe. When you earn something after grinding for it, having it in your possession is much sweeter than buying it outright.

i have spent 150 hours playing TFD and i can tell u that farming normal charcetrs takes max 3-4 hours and then just waiting till they finish crafting, the only grind is on the optional Ult characetrs wich can take from 20-40 hours to farm but its not as bad as he makes it out to be.

So why are people complaining? The point of the game is the grind, buying characters is just a shortcut to the end of the game.

Gunplay is great. Gameplay is great. I work 8 to 5. So it’s a perfect game for me. Being free to play as well. I don’t care how much how i look. Long as the game feels and plays great. Which checks those boxes.

You're not forced to spend money. It's a personal choice. Unlocking everything by grinding isn't an issue if you plan on playing the game for a few years.
I'll grind and spend money. Dont mind if i enjoy the game.
