Guys she literally almost died, she wrote head above water to tell her story over the last six years. I think this album is a masterpiece no its not her "usual" sound but she also is 34 now not a teen. She deserves to sing how shes feeling at the moment, she has earned it. No one does music like Avril. I believe she mentioned heading back to a more rocker sound in her next project but this was something she needed to do.

Stop getting upset about her new music style, you must understand she was fighting for her life. Now she's a new girl with a new music style. That's what the album is about, she just want to show us the process she's passed for and the best way to do it is through music. So, please enjoy it, we were waiting for it about 5 or 6 years, that was a long time... And instead of being home rediscovering herself and trying to reorganize her life, she is here, fighting for us, giving us new music, new videos, new ways to have the Little Black Stars alive ❤️.

Something about the ¨hidden meaning¨ in the video... The psychology of colour says that:
-The pink is a warm colour, represents love, affection and other related feelings.
-The yellow is a colour that represents an intermediate between the warm (as the colour orange or red), but without becoming a cold colour.
-The blue is a cold colour, represents distance, emptiness, loneliness and other feelings related to these concepts.
If we see the avril video ...
When she goes down the corridor, remembering as she passes through the rooms in pink, yellow and blue colours ... she has:
Memories of love when she goes through the pink rooms,
Memories of ¨Love&Hate¨ moments in the yellow rooms.
Memories of sad moments in the blue rooms.
In the scenes where they are seen as undecided, blue and pink are also mixed.
The producers and avril problably wanted to play with the meanings of colours and emotions.
For example when the boy is thoughtful as in half hall, half of the scene is blue and the other half is pink, but when he decides to leave it is blue completely.
There are scenes where the door is being closed to the pink color, we already know that part of the meaning of the song is "to close the doors to a relationship" ... and after closing the doors "to the relationship", the scenes are blue again.
