Imagine your boss asking a straight question and answering like this.

Never have I been so embarrassed by being a Canadian.

“Son, did you do the dishes?”

“I have recently completed my homework”

This is a prime example of how broken our democracy really is. I hope we as Canadians start standing up for our rights and undo the damage the Trudeau government has caused.

“CERB making it possible for Canadians to afford a home” delusion at its best.

This is just embarrassing. If I asked an employee a direct question and they answered in the same manner as the finance minister I would fire them on the spot.

Refusing to answer a reasonable and simple question in parliament should be grounds for a motion suspension for that member. "I don't know" would not only be true, but the adequate response to questions you do not want to answer.

It astounds me how people like that are able to avoid a question so consistently

This is gross, just shameful this minister isn't doing his obligation

“How much does it cost to buy a house in Canada?”

Various responses:

- My dog is a German shepherd
- I bought eggs yesterday at the grocery store
- 7 + 6 equals 13
- Apricot is a three syllable word

That exchange would have been just as useful as what those two guys just did. Government officials seem to have forgotten that they are supposed to be serving the public. Instead, they now rule over us once again as they used to. And unfortunately, no one is really doing anything to stop them.

This is actually funny. Go to a bakery: "How much for a loaf of bread?" "We have increased our hours to serve you better." "Yes, but how much for a loaf?" "We are now using organic ingredients in all our products". "And the loaf of bread costs...?" "We have also hired a security guard to make our customers feel safer." "Right, so how much for a loaf of bread?" "And the cost of the loaf is lower now than in the middle of the COVID pandemic". "How much?" "We are receiving very positive feedback about the work we do." "Very well, so what do I need to pay to buy a loaf of bread from you?" "And we have upgraded lighting outside of our store".

Just shameful that parliamentarians are not accountable, and are not obligated to answer any questions. What is the point of these question periods if it becomes a mockery.

I love it. Proof every day how you can tell that you’re talking to a liar. In one ear, flipped upside down and out the other ear making no rational sense. Gotta love Pierre 🇨🇦

You cannot call someone a liar but you can do this. Thanks Mr Speaker.

He should immediately lose his job. This is government we're talking about, not the playground at recess. This is not a game. Government should have no business screwing around with these childish games.

What a colossal waste of time and money parliament is.

As you can see, and as Pierre makes clearly evident, without accountability there is no logic or Reason.
