Which is why when I see the tik tok hair stylists, curl pattern specialists, curly girl method people, talking about oils are bad I laugh, because like y’all never really went to school to learn about the actual science of our hair, what it likes, what it don’t like, what ingredients to look for depending on what hair goal you want, or what cause hair to grow/break from the inside. Y’all just know how to cut, style and play in people’s hair 😂 I even taught people about our moisture/protein/oil thing that we need and not just moisture/protein, telling people how our hair is lipophilic and shit 😂. I learned all this from you Ms. Tonya and I would take your advice ten times before I take any of their trendy advice once. I always would tag you on TT under these people posts too talking about ALL of your credentials 😂 like “don’t listen to them, listen to Curly Chemist” 😂

What made my hair break less and I mean, it's rare now. I purchased a filter for my faucets, Kitchen, Bathroom faucet and tub shower. My hair is ALWAYS SOFT but now it breaks less and it's softer. Perfect example, I cut out the perm 04/2021 my hair was damaged so I stood in the bathroom and cut to the new growth. ALL NATURAL EVER SINCE. Today I used my detangler brush to get some hair to put in a glass to check my porosity, I didn't find any.

Going natural helped ALOT but the water not being hard anymore has helped too.
Low porosity hair is my type and 4C. It's true low porosity is healthier hair.

Protect your ends at the end of the day. Length will be seen. These curls are juicy and it does shrink which leaves you unsure of your length but my curls are springy, I can pull to see if it has grown and it bounces back. Eventually, I will get it flat ironed. What I am looking for is a scrub for my scalp and a mask or cream for my hair mainly the ends. NO MORE CUTTING, PERMS OR DAMAGE.

Thank you. Although water is "free", it's not best if you live where there is hard water. Try buying a gallon of distilled water and putting it in a designated spray bottle. Much better. You will be able to tell the difference.
