I've seen a lot of these Andostars lately. They seem like a good alternative to more expensive $1000+ microscopes, that are usually used in professional and semi-professional repair shops.

Apart from taking up quite a lot of space on the table, they should be alright. Maybe I'm just used to a slightly cleaner setup with a powerful but compact microscope and an external monitor mounted on a mount on a wall. 🤷‍♂

But you're right. It's a real shame you can't put the main feed or that endoscopy feed separately on an external display. Looks like a big oversight.

What makes the 409 series more expensive than the 249 series?
Both have options for an endoscope.

This microscope can´t be justified for me as a hobbyist. It´s for sure quite useful, but too expensive (equal to an proper digital oscilloscope). Hence I will still use my USB- microscope...
