Alan Jackson Pretending To Perform (1994 ACM Awards)

Living #CountryMusic icon #AlanJackson has infamously fought with the producers of various awards shows throughout his career, and it all began with the 1994 #ACMAwards. Jackson was slated to perform #GoneCountry, but grew upset after being told he had to use pre-recorded tracks. To combat this demand, Jackson had drummer Bruce Rutherford perform with his drumsticks, and you can see the hilarity that ensues in nearly ever shot of the performance.

When i first heard Here in the Real World come over on the radio, I was 22, was into Eagles Outlaw Country and Southern rock, so i had my selection, but when heard Alan wale out “love is a sweet dream, that always comes true”, in that song I was hooked on Alan Jackson. He’s my first choice in country music

These shows seem to forget that they need the artists, not the other way around. Awards are nice but they don’t pay the bills. Alan Jackson knows who his fans are and he won’t disrespect them, now allow himself to be disrespected.
