I had moved to Australia from Sri Lanka in the 80s after losing everything in the war. I was in 7th grade and this came on. It did something to me. It gave me joy. My English wasn’t good then, so I enjoyed the way it made me feel and sang along to the chorus.
I went to college and did a degree for my parents but music was always my passion. Now I am a Grammy credited songwriter and record producer in Nashville, I still revert back to this for when I need a little piece of extra joy for the moment. I regret not thanking Greedy for this.
