So, I've owned a pearl mimic, TD50, VAD506, DTXPRO, 2Box, Alesis strike...etc etc, you get it haha. Recently got the Gewa G9 Module for my vad pads and I'm loving it so far, its a little complicated and getting the triggers to work right took a bit, but there's just something so refreshing about the sounds on the G9. Its even further evident when I'm playing along to songs when I make covers.

I'm definitely hooked and hope GEWA has a lot of success so they can keep this rolling. They definitely have the talent/quality imo.

I was going to go for a brand new TD17KVX but ended up getting a used TD27KV.

Just bought the G5 tonight from Edrumcenter for $1099/no tax/free shipping. It has 900 sounds and is made in Germany. It was the G5 or the TD-27 so I took a chance on the Gewa.

At first glance, the module reminds me of the td30, and that's not a bad thing. It's a good looking kit, and the price seems right.

I would love to see a comparison of this module to the Drumit Five MKii, especially since they seem similar in layout and sound quality. Would you pick one over the other?

Very nice module. For me a module is about the sounds, for without a good assortment of high quality instruments, all other assets are somewhat fruitless. IMO I am considering a G9 but am a bit apprehensive especially after your remark about the some of the sounds. With tax in the US/California it’s pretty close to three grand, so I expect stellar sounds.

What’s your thoughts if there’s a gun to your head and you only get one module gewa or mimic or td50 ?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am surprised they has released a new kit when the G9 is still having so many problems. I have been holding off buying a 9 until I start hearing the updates have rectified the triggering issues. I would be surprised if the 5 does not have similar issues and look forward to your hands on review.

Hay bud, I enjoy watching your videos im a huge roland fan, I recently bought a roland vad306 but having some issues with my kick pedal setup, I have asked around music stores but can’t get the right solution, when i tighten the kick pedal clamp on the kick drum it raises the kick drum and pedal in the air and is not playable, the only way i fix it is by spreading out wide the legs on the kick drum, I have seen many videos on YouTube and they all have their legs straight but how it works for them I don’t know hope you can help.🙏🏻🤞🏻🇦🇺
